TDI Champlain Power Express – Pre-Lay Mattress Installation – Hudson River Valley, New York

Commerce Construction provided specialized diving services to install pre-lay concrete mattresses on the TDI- Champlain Power Express Transmission Line Clean Energy Project. The mattresses were set at precise locations with minimum tolerances to protect existing sub-aqueous utilities from coming into contact with the installation of the new transmission line. The project team used underwater electronic technology and on-site hyperbaric capabilities to ensure the safety of the dive crew working in remote areas of the Hudson River.  All work was completed safely and on schedule through the great partnership and collaboration of the project team.
